Ibrox side Rangers’ defeat to Hibernian seems to have pleased the Celtic striker, Sheffield Wednesday’s Barry Bannan and Hull City’s David Meyler.

Celtic striker Leigh Griffiths has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Hibernian’s win against Rangers on Saturday afternoon.

Hibernian won 3-2 against Rangers in the final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park.

David Gray’s headed goal in the second minute of injury time saw Hibs end their 114-year wait to win the prestigious cup competition.

Griffiths played for Hibernian on loan from Wolverhampton Wanderers from 2011 until 2013.

The Scotland international striker has taken to Twitter to revel in the win for Hibs against Celtic’s bitter rivals Rangers.

Sheffield Wednesday midfielder Barry Bannan, who is a Celtic fan and was at the Glasgow giants from 2002 to 2004, has expressed his delight for Hibernian.

One of Hibernian’s key players against Rangers was Anthony Stokes, who is on loan from Scottish Premiership giants Celtic.

The 27-year-old Republic of Ireland international winger scored twice and played well throughout.

Hull City midfielder David Meyler was following the match, and he has congratulated his former Sunderland teammate on Twitter.
