Former Everton stars Wayne Rooney and Marouane Fellaini helped Manchester United to FA Cup glory on Saturday after they beat Crystal Palace 2-1 after extra time.
The two former Toffees played the full two hours at Wembley as Louis van Gaal won his first, and potentially last, if rumours are to be believed, trophy as United boss.
It capped a miserable week for Liverpool supporters, who not only watched their bitter Premier League rivals triumph, but also had to endure the sight of their own side failing on the big stage this past week.
On Wednesday, the Reds went down 3-1 to Sevilla in the Europa League final in Basel, with Jurgen Klopp's side fluffing a 1-0 half-time lead.
And Carragher, his usual witty self, has suggested on Twitter that both results were also victories for Everton fans.

As ever, football fans - including Evertonians - responded to the joke in their droves.
@Carra23 You've saved that in your drafts since you've landed from Basel.— Tony Scott (@Tony_Scott11) May 21, 2016
@Carra23 Errrr. Since when have we enjoyed watching Utd win anything Carra?— ANewton (@AlanRNewton) May 21, 2016

It may have been Everton contesting the FA Cup final on another day, with Anthony Martial scoring a last-minute winner for United who beat them in the semi-finals.
