Manchester United’s victory over Crystal Palace in the FA Cup final means that West Ham United have qualified for the Europa League.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Manchester United’s win against Crystal Palace on Saturday evening.

United got the better of Premier League rivals Palace 2-1 after extra time in the final of the FA Cup at London’s Wembley Stadium.

The Red Devils’ victory means that West Ham have booked a spot in the Europa League next season.

Gold has taken to Twitter to express his delight at that succees, and so have the club’s official website, first-team coach Edin Terzic and former West Ham striker Tony Cottee.

West Ham are not guaranteed a place in the group stage of the Europa League next season.

The London outfit will enter the prestigious European competition at the third round qualifying stage.

However, the fans should be jubilant that there is a very good chance that they could get to see 'proper' European football at their new stadium next season. West Ham are leaving the Boleyn Ground for the Olympic Stadium.
