30 amazing pictures you have to see from West Ham's Boleyn farewell

Upton Park

West Ham United could not have wished for a better send-off for their beloved Boleyn Ground and the historic event has generated memorable pictures.

The Hammers brought the curtain down on 112 years of history at their beloved Boleyn Ground with a thrilling 3-2 victory over Manchester United earlier this month.

It was a fitting send off for the famous old ground before the club moves to its new 60,000 seater Olympic Stadium home this summer and they signed off in the best way with the Hammers coming from 2-1 down to win 3-2 in the last 10 minutes.

The match was covered live as was the colourful closing ceremony which was beamed all around the world.

Some fantastic pictures have emerged from the event but with the wealth of media coverage since, many have been lost in various slideshows and montages.

With the dust settling on that epic game and indeed West Ham's best ever Premier League points return, now is a great time to reflect on some magical and atmospheric pictures captured from the Boleyn's emotional farewell.

Here we bring you a selection of stunning shots taken throughout that fateful day for West Ham fans to cherish and remember their second home by forever more.
