The Bayern Munich boss is set to take over at Manchester City this summer.
Pep Guardiola is set to take over at Manchester City in the summer having agreed to replace Manuel Pellegrini at the club.
Many are predicting there will be something of a culture shock at the Etihad when the current Bayern Munich boss arrives at the club.
His style will certainly be different to what they have encountered under outgoing manager Manuel Pellegrini and Roberto Mancini before him.
And when asked what advice he would give to City’s star, Lahm says that the first thing they have to know is to keep their position.
“The first thing they will have to know is this: keep your position. That is what he places greatest value on,” he told the Daily Mail.
It will certainly be interesting to see what Guardiola does when he arrives in England this summer.
The first thing on his agenda is sure to be revitalising the squad he will inherit, with the general consensus being that it needs wholesale changes.
In that regard, among his thoughts will surely be improving the defence with that area of the team having struggled once again this past season.
