Former Leicester City midfielder Robbie Savage has written in The Mirror that Liverpool have to finish in the top four of the Premier League next season.
Liverpool finished eighth in the league table this past season, but they reached the finals of the League Cup and the Europa League.
Klopp has been in charge of the Merseyside outfit since October 2015, and he has already done a remarkable job at Anfield.
Savage believes that the German coach has to guide Liverpool to a top-four finish in the Premier League next and bring back Champions League football at Anfield.
“His target for the 2016-17 campaign should, however, be set in stone already: A top-four finish, bringing a return of Champions League football to Anfield,” Savage wrote in The Mirror. “So far, he has given fans every reason to believe he can deliver it.”
Liverpool have progressed under Klopp, but the Reds still need to sign some good players in the summer transfer window.
Both Chelsea and Manchester United will be stronger next season, while Arsenal, Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City will be aiming for the top four and more.
The Reds should aim for a top-four finish next season, but it is going to be very hard for Klopp’s side.
