The Bayern Munich star does not want to switch to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Bayern Munich star Philipp Lahm has told The Daily Mail that he does not want to move to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

Lahm, who can play as a right-back or as a defensive midfielder, has been at Bayern his entire professional career.

When Liverpool legend Carragher jokingly asked the 32-year-old if he would like to join Jurgen Klopp’s side in the summer, the former Germany international declined with a laugh.

“Not this time!” Lahm told Carragher when the former England defender asked if he would be able to talk him in joining Klopp at Liverpool.

“I watch the English league more now Klopp’s there. The atmosphere is incredible and Xabi Alonso has told me about the fantastic atmosphere at Liverpool but I’m going nowhere.”

Lahm is one of the greatest players of all time, and even at 32, he remains a world-class footballer.

It is hard to see the 2014 World Cup winner with Germany leave Bayern for any other club, but it should be encouraging for Liverpool fans that he watches Klopp's team.

Liverpool have become exciting to watch under Klopp, and Lahm’s comments suggest that he has been impressed.

Former Liverpool midfielder Xabi Alonso also seems to speak highly of Anfield despite having left the Premier League club back in 2009.
