Report: Liverpool want £40 million before considering Coutinho sale

Coutinho Liverpool

The Liverpool star has been linked with Barcelona in the past.

Liverpool would want at least £40 million before they would consider selling Philippe Coutinho, reports the Telegraph.

The Brazilian has once again been the star of the show at Liverpool this season, with a series of impressive performances.

It has continued his rise since joining the club under Brendan Rodgers, and he is now very much one of the key players at the club.

He has been linked with a potential move to La Liga in the future, with Barcelona in particular thought to be keeping an eye on him.

Liverpool of course, would be extremely unwilling to sell their star man at any point, but should there be firm interest in his services in future, they would demand a minimum of £40million to tempt them into selling, reports the Telegraph.

Fortunately for the Reds, the same report believes that a move from a La Liga giant looks unlikely any time soon.

Both Real Madrid and Barcelona could be interested in his services, but at this moment in time neither believes that he has matured enough to warrant spending big money on his signature.
