Rangers will take on Hibernian in the final of the Scottish Cup at Hampden Park in Glasgow on Saturday afternoon.
“Rangers and Hibs go head-to-head in this weekend’s William Hill Scottish Cup Final and while I think it is a difficult call, I would expect that Rangers will just about edge it,” Hay wrote in The Glasgow Evening Times.
Rangers will head into the game against Hibernian as favourites and should win the match with relative ease.
The Gers have the better squad, while Hibs are still smarting from their failure in the Scottish Premiership playoffs.
Hibernian will be determined to end their season on a high, and Rangers should not get complacent.
However, if Mark Warburton’s side score the first goal, especially in the opening 15 minutes, then it is hard to see Hibs launch a successful comeback.
Rangers have won the Scottish Championship title this season and will play in the Scottish Premiership during the 2016-17 campaign.
The Glasgow giants have also clinched the Scottish Challenge Cup this season, and have a great chance of completing the treble.
