Sevilla took on Liverpool in the Europa League final on Wednesday looking to make it their third successive win in the competition.
The first half did not go to plan though, as a super strike from Liverpool forward Daniel Sturridge saw the Reds leading 1-0 at half time.
The La Liga side bounced back in the second half though as goals from Coke and Kevin Gameiro saw them to a 3-1 win and another triumph in the competition.
And Carrico has shared what their manager told them at half time to help them secure that second half fight back.
“Liverpool had a really good first half,” he told BT Sport.
“But at half time the manager told ‘we have to change the game, we have to believe in ourselves’ and we did what he said.”
Liverpool will now be hoping that they can bounce back from this demoralising defeat and be a force under Klopp next season.
The game will certainly have shown him he has improvements to make in the summer transfer window, with left back sure to be chief among his thoughts.
Alberto Moreno had another night to forget, and it would not be surprising to see him replaced ahead of the next campaign.
