Report: Stoke launch bid for Ramadam Sohby

Premier League club keen to land one of Africa's best young players.

Stoke City are lining up a summer transfer coup for Egyptian starlet Ramadan Sobhy, according to Bleacher Report UK.

The likes of Arsenal and Roma have both made unsuccessful offers for the player in the past 18-months, and is widely considered the best young player in Africa.

The 18-year-old forward, who can play out-wide or in a front three made, made his debut for his club Al Ahly when he was just 16 and he was playing to Egypt by the time he was 17.

Now Stoke City are reported to have opened talks over a deal worth around £5 million and are ready to try and finalise a quick deal in order to fend off some of Europe's elite with Atletico Madrid also reported to be very keen.

Any possible deal would be subject to a work permit but Bleacher understand that Stoke would be confident of a deal going through.
