The Reds suffered a torrid evening in Basel on Wednesday night, as they were hammered 3-1 in the Europa League final by Sevilla - and one player has received much of the blame for that defeat.
Fans have been criticising left back Alberto Moreno - an ex-Sevilla player - for his performance, as his woeful defending handed his former club the incentive to go and attack, scoring three second-half goals, with the Spaniard at fault on numerous occasions.
Supporters now want a new left back to be brought in this summer, and The Mirror report that manager Klopp is closing in on the signing of Leicester teenager Ben Chilwell.
Chilwell, 19, has come up through the ranks at Leicester and is considered to be one of the brightest young prospects in English football.
With 12 appearances for England at youth level, Chilwell is one for the future, and even spent time out on loan at Huddersfield Town earlier this season - ironically under David Wagner, who was on Klopp's coaching staff at Borussia Dortmund, and was even Klopp's best man at his wedding.
Klopp has no doubt received Wagner's opinion on Chilwell, and it's now reported that the defender is closing in on a move to Anfield, with Klopp confident of beating Arsenal to his signature.
It's claimed that Chilwell has snubbed a new £18,000-a-week deal at Leicester as he's frustrated with the lack of first-team football behind Christian Fuchs - and is now close to joining Liverpool in a £3m deal this summer, with Liverpool seemingly set to bring in a possible replacement for Moreno after his Europa League nightmare.
