The defender enjoyed a strong first year at West Ham.
The centre back joined last summer in a move from Italian champions Juventus, as they beat off competition from the likes of Everton for his signature.
He has become a first team regular since joining, with 28 Premier League games under his belt across this past season.
It was a fine first season for the Hammers under Slaven Bilic too, as they competed at the top end of the table throughout and eventually finish 7th.
And reflecting upon his first year in England, Ogbonna says he is very happy with what he has achieved.
“I’m really happy with my first season in England,” he told whufc.com.
“I’m really happy because I scored against Liverpool and that was an amazing moment for us. We have to be proud about this season and maybe next season we can do better."
Ogbonna will now be hoping he can build upon a bright first season with West Ham and help his side repeat their form next season.
The Hammers look set for a bright future as they move to the Olympic Stadium this summer and aim to build on a fine first year under Slaven Bilic.
They look to be busy in the summer transfer window, with big moves for a striker already mooted, and Ogbonna will be keen to play his part once again.
