Everton defender's agent responds to suggested interest from Lazio.

Ramiro Funes Mori's agent has told reporters in Italy that Everton value the defender at £30 million, Tuttomercatoweb report.

Everton signed Funes Mori for £9.5 million last summer from Argentine club River Plate, and he quickly went into Roberto Martinez's first team, delivering a mixed bag of performances.

Funes Mori's agent Jorge Cyterszpiler was asked by Lazio website Lalaziosiamonoi.it about the possibility of his client leaving the Toffees and had this to say:

"Lazio are a great club, but Everton do not want to sell and evaluates him more than 30 million. But football is strange, anything can happen, he is among the best left-handed centre-backs in the world at the time."

Ramiro Funes' future is as unclear as any other player, dependent on the view of Everton's next manager, whoever that may turn out to be.

One of the most enduring memories of Funes Mori this season came for the wrong reasons, red carded for a horror tackles on Divock Origi in the Merseyside derby, subsequently missing their FA Cup semi-final defeat to Manchester United through suspension.

The centre-back has more to prove if he really is to be considered among the best defenders in the world, and Everton are in a financially strong position that they do not need to sell.
