Liverpool took on Sevilla in the Europa League final on Wednesday evening as they looked to secure another European trophy.
Things started well for them too, as a fine goal from Daniel Sturridge saw them head into half time 1-0 up.
Sevilla rallied in the second half though, scoring within 17 seconds of the kick off to level the scores and then go on to win the game 3-1 courtesy of a double from Coke.
It was a highly disappointing end to what has been a fine run to the final for Liverpool in the competition this summer.
Reacting on Twitter though, Garcia was keen to make Liverpool fans hope and believe there is better to come next season.
He was not the only former Red to tweet after the game, with Don Hutchinson, Didi Hamann and Stan Collymore all sharing their thoughts also.
A night that promised so much ending in massive disappointment. Tough to take having been in such a strong position at half time!— Neil Mellor (@NeilMellor33) May 18, 2016
Liverpool will now be hoping that there are better things to come in future, with Jurgen Klopp likely to be extremely busy in the summer transfer window ahead of next season.
