Partick defender Frans weighs up Antwerp offer

HITC Sport understands Partick defender is weighing up an offer from Belgian club.

Partick Thistle defender Frederic Frans has an offer from Royal Antwerp as he weighs up his future options, HITC Sport understands from sources close to the club.

Frans is out of contract at Firhill next month and Patrick have offered him a new deal to keep him at the club.

However, several other sides have expressed an interest in signing the centre-back on a free transfer this summer with Antwerp tabling an offer for Frans as they look to lure him back to Belgium.

Frans has established himself as a key player for Partick after initially joining the club on a short-term contract in October 2014.

The former Belgium under-20 international quickly impressed at Partick and was rewarded with a new 18-month deal just two months after arriving at the club.

Partick boss Alan Archibald is keen to keep hold of Frans as they look to build on securing a fourth successive season in the Scottish Premiership.

However, Frans is refusing to rush into a decision and is currently back in his homeland of Belgium to consider all the offers that have come his way.
