The Spurs legend heralded the goalscoring form of Harry Kane.
Micky Hazard has paid tribute to red-hot Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane on Twitter.
The 22-year-old hitman might have missed out on the Premier League title, as well as the distinction of finishing above Arsenal in the table, but Kane still picked up the Golden Boot award after netting 25 times in 38 league appearances this past season.
It is a brilliant achievement, but perhaps one made much more special considering that the young England striker - who netted 31 in all competitions last term - was widely written off as a one-season wonder, having failed to find the net in his first eight games of the 2015-16 campaign.
Since then, though, Kane rediscovered his talismanic best to silence his critics in a run of form which led to Tottenham mounting a serious Premier League title challenge, and Hazard made his feelings for the forward perfectly clear on Twitter this morning.
No better sight than someone proving their critics wrong, Harry Kane you have been brilliant , worthy winner of golden boot #ONEOFOUROWN— Micky Hazard (@1MickyHazard) May 18, 2016
Mauricio Pochettino's side finished third in the table following a 5-1 defeat at relegated Newcastle United - who scored three times in the final 20 minutes, with 10 men - on Sunday, in which Arsenal pipped them to second spot.
