Derby County fans have slated Tom Ince’s cameo appearance in their play off match against Hull City last night.
Ince was left on the substitutes’ bench yesterday, with Andreas Weimann getting the nod to start ahead of him at the KC Stadium.
Ince had proved ineffectual in the first leg of the tie, where Derby were beaten 3-0 by Hull in front of their own fans.
As a result, he was dropped to the bench last night, and Weimann’s performance was encouraging.
The former Aston Villa man caused the Hull defence a host of problems, as Derby raced into a 2-0 lead.
The Rams needed just one more goal when Ince came on, but the attacking midfielder’s desire has been called into question.
Ince did not do make an impression on the game when he entered the action, and Hull managed to hold on to their one-goal aggregate advantage to confirm their place in the play off final.
Some Derby fans have now suggested that they no longer want to see Ince in the club’s shirt again, with Weimann thought to be a better option.
We lost our width when Ince came on last night, we need out and out wingers who will stretch the game and create space in the middle #DCFC— Craig Bennett (@__craigbennett) May 18, 2016
Not many mentions for Andreis Weimann tonight, but he has showed why he should start infront of Ince. Class act, unlucky with injury. #dcfc— Dan (@__DanRobinson) May 17, 2016
My view, get rid of ince and Johnson asap, get a manager with heart, fight and tactical knowledge, and do everything to keep will #dcfc— Aaron Clarke (@aaronclarke1990) May 17, 2016
