Liverpool face Sevilla in the Europa League final on Wednesday evening with both teams keen to win the competition.
Sevilla are as the reigning champions of the competition, having won it for the last two years running.
They face a tough ask to make it three times in a row though, with Liverpool slight favourites in the eyes of many given their run in the competition.
They have beat Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund and Villarreal in an impressive run on their way to the final.
And Emery is clearly impressed by them, saying they are among the ten best teams in the world.
“Liverpool are among the ten best teams in the world,” the Liverpool Echo reports him saying.
“They are pure football. They are real football. They have a great history. The team has changed now a little bit with the new coach. It's a happy team, I think.”
Liverpool will now be hoping they can secure Europa League success to cap an impressive first year under Jurgen Klopp.
The German has been impressive since replacing Brendan Rodgers at the helm, with this their second final in seven months.
Success in this tournament, and the Champions League place that comes with it, would be the perfect end to that and provide the platform for what appears to be a bright future.
