Sunderland's Jeremain Lens has made just 14 Premier League starts this season.
According to a report in the Sunderland Echo, Sunderland’s coaching staff have big reservations about Jeremain Lens.
The Dutch international only moved to Sunderland last summer, but his attitude in training has reportedly concerned the North East side’s backroom staff.
As a result, Lens is now expected to depart the Stadium of Light in the summer transfer window - even though he scored on the last day of the season.
Lens was handed a rare start for Sunderland against Watford, and he found the back of the net in a 2-2 draw.
The 28-year-old is apparently frustrated with his rotational role, though, and Black Cats boss Sam Allardyce admits that the winger’s future is up in the air at the moment.
"It depends what Lens wants to do – stay or fight or move on," Allardyce said.
“He’ll decide that when we have a conversation.”
Lens has shown flashes of quality during Sunderland’s season, but his lack of consistency has been a frustration.
In total Lens has made 14 Premier League starts for the Black Cats, and scored three times.
The Sunderland Echo suggest that Ajax are one of the clubs who are interested in signing Lens, but the Dutch side could reportedly struggle to afford to do a deal.
