Michail Antonio has told West Ham United’s official site that he has loved him time at Upton Park so far.
Antonio joined West Ham from Nottingham Forest last summer, and it took him a while to break into Slaven Bilic’s side.
The 26-year-old initially appeared out of favour, but after he broke into the team back in December he has not looked back.
Antonio now looks set to play a crucial for for Bilic’s men next term, and the powerful winger admits he’s delighted with how his maiden campaign has gone.
“I have really enjoyed my first season in the Premier League and to score nine goals has been fantastic,” Antonio said.
“I have been able to score a lot of them playing at right back so I could have had even more.
“I have taken things in my stride and hopefully next year I can build on it.”
Antonio has been forced to play out of position at right-back for much of his first campaign at West ham, but he has still impressed.
Antonio has shown great commitment throughout the campaign, and his energy has been crucial for West Ham’s style.
Antonio was actually tipped as an outsider to be named in England’s squad for Euro 2016, but he missed out on being included in Roy Hodgson's team, which will travel to France.
