Liverpool square off the Spanish outfit in Basel tomorrow.
Basel plays host as the Reds travel to Switzerland aiming to beat the reigning champions and win the first trophy of what might well be a silverware-laden era under manager Jurgen Klopp, who replaced the axed Brendan Rodgers back in October.
Liverpool's name appears to be on the cup, having fought back from perilous situations in previous rounds en route to this week's showpiece.
In the quarter-finals, Klopp's side scored three second-half goals to stun a quite brilliant Borussia Dortmund side who looked set for the semis, before the Premier League outfit then recovered from a first-leg defeat at Villarreal in the last-four stage.
In Sevilla, they come up against a side bidding for their third Europa League title in succession, meaning the Liga outfit has the experience, but the legendary Rush sees no reason why Liverpool cannot scupper their plans for the hat-trick.
"I think Liverpool have got real momentum coming into this final," said Rush via The Star.
"Dortmund were the favourites, but they beat them and now they face Sevilla, who are going for three in a row. But Liverpool have proven their pedigree in this competition.
"Spanish sides have had a great record but in the knock-out stage Liverpool showed what they can do and there’s no reason they can’t win it."
