Teixeira joined Liverpool during the January transfer window in 2012, signing from Sporting Lisbon after impressing the club’s youth team coaches during the NextGen series.
Despite showing plenty of promise, the 23-year-old has struggled to make any inroads in to the first-team picture at Anfield and has subsequently spent two spells out on loan.
During the 2014/15 season, he joined Brighton and Hove Albion on a season-long deal and impressed at the Amex stadium, winning the club’s young Player of the year gong and finishing as their top scorer.
However, he still remains on the peripherals of the Reds’ senior squad and with the club expected to strengthen this summer, Teixeira hasn’t been offered a new contract which is soon to expire.
