The Bayern Munich midfielder has been heavily liked with a move to Liverpool this summer.

Liverpool star Roberto Firmino has told Bild that Bayern Munich midfielder Mario Gotze would fit in well at Anfield.

The Bayern Munich man has been heavily linked with a move to Liverpool all season, with many suggesting it would be best for his career.

Those rumours picked up pace this week as Bild reported that the Reds were the only team to have officially made a move for the player.

The report also claimed that incoming Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti had told the German star in no uncertain terms that he was unlikely to be a first team regular in his side in future.

He would be classed as a big name signed for Klopp’s side, and Firmino believes that he would fit in well at Anfield.

“I know Gotze well from my time in Germany, when I played with Hoffenheim against Borussia Dortmund and Bayern,” he told Bild.

“He has incredible qualities in attack. He would fit in well with us, and he will surely help us with his class also.”

Gotze would certainly be an interesting acquisition for Liverpool given the relationship he had with Klopp at Borussia Dortmund.

It would be similarly intriguing to see where he would fit in the current side given their abundance of attacking midfielders at present.

Adam Lallana, Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino all want the coveted number ten role and given they have all performed superbly for the German this year, it would be harsh for any to drop out of the side.
