The forward has been linked with an exit from Newcastle United this summer.
Newcastle were relegated to the Championship this season after a disastrous campaign for them.
There are now major question marks about a number of first-team stars, with several thought to be considering their futures.
Wijnaldum is reported to be among those, having mostly impressed this season and sure to be of interest to clubs in the summer transfer window.
And when questioned about his future, the Dutchman has remained non-committal, saying he does not know where he will be.
“I don’t know. I don’t think about that,” the Chronicle reports him saying.
“I am devastated that we are relegated. That is all that is on my mind, I don’t think about it or other things. We will see what the future brings.”
After his performances this season, Wijnaldum would be one of the more appealing assets that Newcastle have this summer.
His future is likely to depend on the future of manager Rafa Benitez, with it as yet unknown whether the Spaniard will stay at the club.
Should he decide to stick with the Magpies, they would be confident of securing an instant Premier League return and that could convince several of their star men, including Wijnaldum, to stick around in the Championship next year.
