The Liverpool defender was keen to praise the club's fans after his breakthrough season.
It has been an up and down campaign for Liverpool fans, as they have seen their side initially struggle under Brendan Rodgers but have flourished under new boss Jurgen Klopp.
The German has already guided them to the Capital One Cup final, and Liverpool are set to play in the Europa League final against Sevilla also.
It has been a good year for Smith in particular as he has broken through into the Liverpool first-team and impressed under Klopp.
And writing on Instagram, he was keen to praise the club’s fans for their support across the season, labelling them as ‘class’.
With the season now completed, Liverpool’s attention naturally turns to that crucial Europa League final.
It is set to be an intriguing clash with Sevilla, who are the current holders and will not be easy opponents for the Reds in any regard.
Given their run to the final though Klopp’s side can feel confident of winning, and more importantly securing that Champions League place for next season.
