Aston Villa are set to play in the Championship next season.
Aston Villa were relegated from the Premier League this season as a disastrous season saw them finishing bottom of the table.
They were unable to give their fans a final performance on Sunday, as they were beaten 4-0 by Arsenal at the Emirates.
Many are predicting that next season could be a struggle for them; as they may be find it tough to deal with what is a hard league to play in.
Black though, says that an instant return can be a realistic target for them.
“I think it's realistic due to the stature of Aston Villa, no question,” he told avfc.co.uk.
“Obviously there are on-going things in regards to the ownership and a new manager that comes in but I have no doubt that Aston Villa will be a massive club with a great opportunity to come straight back.”
The first thing that Aston Villa must do is decide upon who will be their next manager at the club.
They are yet to name a replacement for Remi Garde, as they take their time to make the right appointment to help them move forward.
The general consensus seems to be that they need an experience Championship boss at the helm if they are to avoid struggling, and perhaps if they can do so an instant return will be on the cards.
