The Liverpool youngster earned a 10-minute cameo against West Brom.
The 19-year-old was brought on the end-of-season trip to the West Midlands by manager Jurgen Klopp following the completion of his loan spell with Brentford.
With 80 minutes on the clock, Klopp replaced Sheyi Ojo with the young midfielder, who finally got a taste of senior action for the Reds, having joined from Barcelona in 2013.
In a post-match interview with The Liverpool Echo, Canos reveal what his German manager told him to do before going on, whilst also adding that the cameo ranks as the greatest moment of his life.
“I found out on Saturday I was in the squad and it was a surprise for me and my family. I’ve only been back for one week," he said. “The manager said he wanted me to press and to be aggressive and to make an impact. It was the best 10 minutes of my life."
Given his Barcelona roots, Canos can clearly play a bit and Klopp might be interested to see a bit of him in pre-season action over the coming months.
It was former manager Brendan Rodgers - who was sacked in October - who sent him on loan to the Championship club, meaning that his presence at Brentford has no bearing on whether Klopp rates him.
