Report: No Everton approach for Jose Mourinho

Everton and Manchester United have both been linked with Jose Mourinho in recent times.

According to a report on Sky Sports, Everton are yet to make an approach for Jose Mourinho.

Reports over the weekend suggested that the Toffees had made contact with Mourinho, as they look to find a replacement for Roberto Martinez.

Mourinho has been out of work since leaving Chelsea earlier this season, and he is reportedly on the Toffees’ wishlist.

However, Sky Sports say that the Portuguese boss is yet to be offered the job at Goodison Park.

The report also claims that Mourinho is relaxed about his current situation, and he is still hopeful of landing the job at Manchester United.

Mourinho has been tipped to replace Louis van Gaal for the Red Devils, and it is believed that his preference would be to take charge at Old Trafford.

For Everton to even be linked with Mourinho suggests that they have ambitious plans for the future, following the investment of Farhad Moshiri.

Everton have also been linked with the likes of Frank De Boer and Ronald Koeman in recent times, as they search for a manager to takeover from Martinez.
