Harry Kane sends message to Tottenham fans on Twitter

Tottenham Hotspur went down 5-1 to Newcastle United in the Premier League on Sunday.

Tottenham Hotspur striker Harry Kane has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to his side finishing third in the Premier League this season.

The North London outfit suffered an embarrassing 5-1 defeat to 10-man Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park on Sunday afternoon.

Spurs needed just a draw from the match, but their defeat coupled with a 4-0 win for Arsenal against Aston Villa at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday means that Mauricio Pochettino’s side have missed out on the second spot.

Kane has admitted on Twitter that Tottenham did not play well against Newcastle at all.

The England international striker, though, has assured the fans that the players will come back stronger next season.

The 22-year-old has suggested that Tottenham playing in next season’s Champions League means that this campaign has been a success for them.

Kane has had a great season on a personal level, scoring as many as 25 goals in 38 Premier League appearances.

The youngster also created 44 chances, and had a pass accuracy of 73% and a shot accuracy of 61%.
