Report: Inter and Juventus eye Newcastle United man at £5.5milllion

The Newcastle United defender has been linked with an exit following their relegation.

Seria A duo Inter Milan and Juventus could be eyeing a move for Newcastle United right back Daryl Janmaat, reports CalcioMercato.

Newcastle were relegated from the Premier League this week, as a Sunderland win over Everton saw the Magpies drop into the Championship.

As a result, several of their stars are thought to be considering their futures and eyeing up exits from the club.

Dutchman Janmaat is thought to be among those and there may be options available to him this summer.

They come from Italy, with both Inter Milan and Juventus, who have both followed him in the past and are possible destinations for him again, according to CalcioMercato.

Janmaat would be a cheap option for both of the Italian sides, with the report claiming he could cost as little as €7million - around £5.5million.

Inter are set to lose duo Martin Montoya and Davide Santon this summer and allegedly want alternatives to Yuto Yagatomo and Danilo D’Ambrosio.

Juventus are in a similar situation as Martin Caceres is set to depart and they look for an alternative to Stephan Lichsteiner.
