Report: Tottenham send scouts to check out Italy U21 international Vittorio Parigini

Tottenham Hotspur have been linked with Vittorio Parigini.

According to the print version of La Stampa via Tuttomercatoweb, Tottenham Hotspur are among a number of clubs to have sent scouts to check out Torino winger Vittorio Parigini.

The Italy U21 international is currently plying his trade on loan at Serie B side Perugia, impressing a number of onlookers and drawing plenty of speculation over his future.

Parigini, 20, initially started his career as a striker yet he now finds himself playing more as a winger or attacking midfielder, creating chances and scoring goals from deeper positions.

He has spent the past two seasons on loan at Perugia, and this year he has managed four goals in his last 11 appearances for the club despite being troubled with a lengthy injury.

The Italian report claims that the Torino ace has attracted attentions from Roma and Juventus of late, while Tottenham have recently sent scouts to Italy to monitor his progress further.

Spurs have a good record of spotting youngsters and turning them into future Premier League stars, with Dele Alli and Eric Dier the latest to become full internationals after moving to White Hart Lane.

Parigini has plenty of potential boasting speed, creative awareness and explosiveness in the final third.

Likened to Alessio Cerci, the Italian youth international has a bright future in the game and Tottenham boss Mauricio Pochettino certainly has the capabilities to get the best out of him.
