The Kortrijk defender has been in good form this season.
The Championship season is over and for those teams not in the play-offs they can now begin planning for next season and start looking at the transfer market.
One such team is QPR and according to reports in Belgium they have started doing just that.
The report states that QPR are keen on the Kortrijk defender, along with Italian side Chievo Verona.
Chanot, who has played 19 times for the Luxembourg national team and scored once for the international minnows in a shock 1-1 draw with Italy in 2014, will be known to QPR manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink from his time managing in Belgium with Royal Antwerp.
Chanot has played in England before. He spent two years at Sheffield United early in his career and spent time on loan at Mansfield Town and Hamilton Academical during his stint with the Blades.
He has played 36 times for Kortrijk this season, scoring four goals, as the club finished ninth in the Belgian Pro League regular season.
