Micky Quinn reacts on Twitter to Newcastle win, has advice for club

Newcastle United won their final Premier League game of the season on Sunday.

Micky Quinn has taken to social networking site Twitter to give his reaction to Newcastle United’s stunning win against Tottenham Hotspur on Sunday.

Newcastle ended their 2015-16 Premier League campaign with a shocking 5-1 hammering of Tottenham at home.

The Magpies, who were already relegated to the Championship before the game, put on one of their best performances of the season at St. James’ Park.

What is even more remarkable is that Rafael Benitez’s side ended the game with 10 men due to the dismissal of striker Aleksandar Mitrovic in the second half.

Former Newcastle forward Quinn was following the match, and he was pleased with the final result.

The Englishman has also urged his former club to tie down manager Benitez to a long-term contract.

Benitez has done well since he was appointed the Newcastle manager in March. Perhaps if the Spaniard had replaced Steve McClaren sooner, then the Magpies would have retained their Premier League status for next season.
