Aston Villa fans react on Twitter to Tim Sherwood comments

Tim Sherwood Press Conference 12/02/2014

Aston Villa have been relegated from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season.

Aston Villa fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to recent comments made by Tim Sherwood.

The former Tottenham Hotspur boss recently told Beinsports.com that he would be interested in returning to Villa as the manager.

“Yeah, I will certainly consider it, yeah,” Sherwood told Beinsports.com when asked it he would consider a return to Villa.

Sherwood was sacked as the Villa boss in October 2015. Remi Garde was appointed as the Englishman’s successor, but the Frenchman failed to lead the Villans to safety.

Villa, who have been relegated from the Premier League and will play in the Championship next season, are on the lookout for a new manager.

Sherwood has thrown his hat into the ring and seems to be open to returning to Villa Park.

The former England international midfielder was appointed the Villa manager in February 2015 in order to stave off relegation to the Championship at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.

The 47-year-old did just that, and he also guided the Villans to the final of the FA Cup.

Villa’s performances and results under Sherwood in the opening weeks of this season were disappointing, though.

Villa fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the prospect of having Sherwood back as the manager.
