Real Madrid could target the West Ham United star this summer.
James Rodriguez is ready to leave the club this summer after a frustrating second year at the La Liga giants.
He has had to settle for a seat on the bench for much of the campaign, finding himself out of favour under Rafa Benitez and Zinedine Zidane.
That is far from ideal for the Colombian star, who cost Madrid €85million (£67m) after starring at the World Cup in Brazil.
He is looking likely to depart, should any side offer enough for his services, and should he leave then Zidane’s side would likely look for a replacement.
Their chief target would be West Ham star Dimitri Payet as Zidane has made him a priority signing according CalcioMercato.
The Frenchman has been the star of the show at Upton Park this season, proving to be one of the signings of the season in the Premier League.
He recently signed a new long-term deal at the club, but it would be interesting to see if he could turn away the European giants should an offer materialise.
