Tottenham Hotspur head coach Mauricio Pochettino has revealed to talkSPORT the discussion he had with Sir Alex Ferguson earlier this week.
Pochettino and the former Manchester United manager has lunch in Mayfair, London on Tuesday.
According to The Daily Mail, Jesus Perez, Tottenham's assistant head coach, was at the meeting as well.
Pochettino has revealed what he and Ferguson discussed during the meeting on Tuesday.
"For me, it was a dream come true," Pochettino told talkSPORT about the meeting with Ferguson. "When I was young, when I started my career as a manager, he was always my inspiration, my reference and when you can share two hours with a person who, for me, was the greatest manager in the world, the history of football, only you can enjoy.”
“Did he ask about Manchester United?” added the Argentine. “No. If you know Sir Alex Ferguson, he is a person we can all learn from because he has a fantastic history about football and about life.”
The Sun reported only last month that United wanted to appoint Pochettino as the manager in the summer.
That will not happen, though, as the former Southampton boss has recently signed a new contract which will see him remain at Tottenham until 2021.
It seems that Pochettino is a big fan of Ferguson, and it should be good news for the Tottenham fans.
Even a two-hour discussion with one of the greatest football managers in the world will have made Pochettino better.
