The talented forward has been in fantastic form this season.
that interest has been confirmed by the Pescara president Daniele Sebastiani. He confirmed that Pescara are likely to sell the player should they fail to win promotion – with Tottenham and Leicester City interested in the player. He told Itasportpress last month:
“Our striker will only leave under certain conditions and only to an important team.
“If we do not get promoted then he is likely to leave.
“Leicester and Tottenham have been following him and their observers have been to Pescara several times.”
Now Pescara’s director general Giorgio Ripetto has confirmed he will be on his way out of the club – stating that Leicester remain keen, but not mentioning Tottenham.
Football Italia quote him as telling BianconeriNews.eu:
“In the next transfer market he will leave, regardless of whether the team managed to get to Serie A or not.
“Juventus already came forward with an offer in January to try and sign him in July along with [Gianluca] Caprari.
“But the deal wasn’t completed also due to the interest of other teams like Napoli, Leicester and Genoa."
Lapadula has been in inspired form in Serie B this season.
He scored two more goals in his epic season today as Pescara beat Modena 5-2 – taking his tally for the season to 25 goals in 39 Serie B games.
The Italian-Peruvian is also interesting plenty of other teams but Leicester boss Claudio Ranieri has confirmed his interest in signing the player whilst Tottenham need another attacking option to help out Harry Kane.
Lapdula seems a potential option.
