Tottenham Hotspur are set to take part in the NextGen Series reboot and the squad flew out to take part in the competition in Amsterdam this weekend.
They are in Group B of the competition along with PSV Eindhoven, Ajax Cape Town of South Africa and the Right to Dream academy of Ghana.
The competition aims to bring together some of the best under-19 talents in the world and runs until Monday – when a champions will be crowned.
It is a reboot of the original NextGen Series, won by Inter Milan in 2012 and Aston Villa in 2013.
Tottenham took part in those previous competitions and will be hoping to lift the trophy this week.
On the official squad list however there is an interesting name.
Benyu is a talented midfielder currently on the books at Ipswich Town. He signed a new deal at the club last year to take him through until the end of next season with the Tractor Boys but the London-born talent appears to be on Tottenham’s radar.
The 18-year-old has yet to make his debut for Ipswich, but has been named on the bench on four separate occasions.
Tottenham fans will want to keep an eye on proceedings in Amsterdam this weekend, to see how Benyu gets on.
