Kortney Hause vows to prove a point

The 20-year-old defender is already looking forward to the 2016-17 campaign.

Controversial Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Kortney Hause has vowed to 'prove a point' next season.

The 20-year-old defender was retained by Wolves after a number of his team-mates were let go by the club this week.

Hause might have been fearing the worst following what has been an up and down season, by his own admission.

The centre-back missed four months of last season through a hamstring injury, in which time he worked with a sports psychologist, before landing himself in hot water earlier this month.

The England Under-21 international was reprimanded by manager Kenny Jackett after leaking Wolves' home and away kit next season on Twitter, before being fined (The Express and Star) and dropped from Jackett's next two starting lineups.

Indeed, a very mixed season all things considered, but Hause, a former West Ham United youth, says he cannot wait to enjoy a better time of it next time around.

Despite his injuries, Hause still managed 25 Championship appearances - 23 of which were from the start - as Wolves finished a disappointing 14th in the table.
