Tottenham trio send message to Frank de Boer on Twitter

Frank de Boer has been linked with the Everton managerial job.

Tottenham Hotspur trio Jan Vertonghen, Christian Eriksen and Toby Alderweireld have taken to social networking site Twitter to show their appreciation of Frank de Boer.

De Boer has left his managerial role at Dutch club Ajax after six years in charge of the Dutch giants.

During his time at Ajax, the former Barcelona and Rangers star won the Eredivisie title four times and the Johan Cruijff Shield once.

The former Netherlands international worked with Vertonghen, Eriksen, Alderweireld at Ajax, and played a key role in the Spurs trio’s development.

The Tottenham stars have taken to Twitter to express their gratitude towards De Boer by sending out a simple message on Twitter.

The Tottenham trio could be facing De Boer next season, as the Dutchman has been linked with the managerial job at Everton.

The 45-year-old’s twin brother, Ronald, recently told BBC Sport that he is interested in becoming the new Everton manager.

The Toffees are looking for a new boss following the departure of Roberto Martinez on Thursday.

The posts made by Vertonghen, Eriksen and Alderweireld on Twitter suggest just how big an impact De Boer can make on young and talented players.
