Slaven Bilic responds when asked whether Zlatan Ibrahimovic could move to West Ham United this summer

West Ham United have been linked with Zlatan Ibrahimovic recently.

Slaven Bilic has admitted to West Ham United’s official site that Zlatan Ibrahimovic is unlikely to make a move to the Olympic Stadium in the summer transfer window.

Ibrahimovic confirmed that he would be leaving PSG earlier today, meaning that he will be a free agent in the summer.

West Ham have been one of the clubs linked with the high profile Swedish international, but Bilic claims that the rumours are just ‘paper talk’.

“I can’t see him coming to West Ham if you see the clubs that he has been linked with,” he said, when asked whether Ibrahimovic would fit well at West Ham. “Milan, Manchester United - I can’t see him here. It’s just paper rumours.”

Ibrahimovic is reaching the twilight of his career now, but he still enjoyed a prolific season for PSG this time around.

West Ham are known to be on the look out for a striker in the summer, and they are expected to have masses of funds to spend.

David Sullivan has already confirmed that West Ham have made a £24 million bid for a front man, while the likes of Arsenal striker Theo Walcott have been heavily linked in recent times.

West Ham’s ambitious plans come as a result of their upcoming move to the Olympic Stadium, with the London club aiming to become a regular challenger for the top four spots.
