Arsenal and Southampton have been linked with Corentin Tolisso.

According to L’Equipe, Arsenal and Southampton are keen on signing Corentin Tolisso.

The French publication claims that Napoli are looking at doing a deal for the versatile Lyon star this summer, but they now face heavy competition from Premier League duo Arsenal and Southampton.

Tolisso has enjoyed a superb campaign on a personal level for Lyon this season, making 33 Ligue 1 appearances.

Despite being a versatile player and featuring predominantly at either right-back or midfield, the 21-year-old has managed five goals and a further six assists over the course of the campaign.

Easy on the eye and comfortable in possession, Tolisso averages an 84.7% pass success rate and 1.2 chances created via key passes per match - illustrating his talent on the ball.

Arsenal and Southampton are both reported to be keen, and it is easy to see why, as the duo have over a number of years seeked the best young talent available and the Lyon man has an abundance of potential.

The report goes on to say that Napoli have made contact with the player’s entourage, although an official offer has yet to be submitted as Tolisso gears up for a potential exit this summer.

The Gunners are in need of further midfield options, while the Saints could see him as a potential long-term replacement for Victor Wanyama should the former Celtic man leave St. Mary’s this summer.
