The former Arsenal star wished the Leeds talent all the best for the future.
Leeds United have developed a fine reputation in recent years for developing young talent and one recent graduate in that respect is a young lad with a very eye-catching name.
Ronaldo Vieira has recently made his way into the Leeds United first-team.
The 17-year-old Portuguese youngster recently made his debut for the Leeds first-team, coming on as a late substitute against Preston North End.
This came just days after he had signed a new deal at the club. He agreed a two-year professional deal at the start of the month.
His career is something of an odd one. He moved to York in 2011 and joined the i2i Football Academy – after previously spending time in the Benfica academy.
He joined Leeds from i2i in 2015 and his name immediately caught attention. Now, one of those famous namesakes of his has sent him a message.
The i2i Football Academy sent out this tweet earlier in the week, showing how Arsenal legend Patrick Vieira had signed a shirt for the Leeds talent:
There is a long road ahead for Leeds’ Vieira. But if he carries on this trajectory the sky is the limit, and no doubt Patrick Vieira will be keeping a lookout on his progress.
