Leeds United chairman Massimo Cellino says that he wants to sell the club.

Leeds United fans have taken to social networking site Twitter to give their reaction to Massimo Cellino’s comments about selling the club.

Cellino has told The Times that he is ready to sell Leeds and is looking for buyers.

The Italian entrepreneur, though, has claimed that no one seems to be genuinely interested in buying the West Yorkshire outfit.

"If someone wants to buy the club I will sell it,” Cellino told The Times. “If somebody doesn’t come in I have no choice but to run it.”

“A lot of people have called me to buy the club but they are just fishing and trying to take advantage of my situation,” added the Italian. “I don’t see the money.”

Cellino officially took over Leeds in April 2014, as reported by The Guardian, but the Italian entrepreneur is not very popular among the club’s fans.

There have been protests against the former Cagliari owner by Leeds fans at Elland Road this season.

The Italian comes across as quite passionate about the Whites in his interviews, but some of his decisions, such as the hiring and firing of managers, have been questionable.

The West Yorkshire outfit have endured yet another disappointing season in the Championship, finishing outside the top 10.

Leeds fans have taken to Twitter to have their say on the comments made by Cellino about selling the club.
