Glenn Hoddle reacts on Twitter to Mauricio Pochettino's new contract, offers transfer advice

Mauricio Pochettino has signed a new contract at Tottenham.

Tottenham Hotspur legend Glenn Hoddle believes the club will be title challengers for years to come after Mauricio Pochettino signed a new contract.

Spurs have enjoyed a superb season under Pochettino, and whilst their title bid fell short, they gave Leicester City a real run for their money at the top of the Premier League table.

Now heading back to the Champions League next season, Spurs are making strides under Pochettino - and they moved to tie him down to a new contract on Thursday.

The Argentinian has worked wonders since arriving from Southampton as Tim Sherwood's replacement back in the summer of 2014, and his work has now been rewarded with a new five-year contract at White Hart Lane.

Pochettino signed his new deal on Thursday, and Spurs can now look forward to many more years of his project, which has seen young players like Eric Dier, Dele Alli and Harry Kane all thrive.

Now, former Spurs midfielder and manager Glenn Hoddle has given his take on the situation, taking to Twitter to claim it was 'great news' to see Pochettino sign a new contract.

Hoddle also offered some transfer advice to Spurs, telling them to add 'little by little' to an already strong squad, and he also believes Tottenham will be able to challenge for the title again in the future with Pochettino at the helm.
