Tottenham Hotspur attacking midfielder Christian Eriksen has been quoted as saying by the club’s official Twitter page that Newcastle United winger Andros Townsend is a very good player.
Eriksen and Townsend will face each other in the Premier League this weekend when Tottenham take on Newcastle away from home at St. James’ Park
The England international winger, though, has failed to prevent Newcastle from getting relegated to the Championship.
Eriksen rates his former Tottenham teammate highly, and has admitted that he is an annoying player to play against.
Townsend has scored four goals and created 22 chances in 12 Premier League appearances this season.
The winger has a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 81%, and has won 23 dribbles and 22 tackles.
Eriksen has scored six goals and created 110 chances in 34 Premier League matches for Tottenham this campaign.
The Denmark international attacking midfielder has a pass accuracy of 81% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and has won 17 headers, 35 dribbles and 39 tackles.
