The Owls will take on Brighton at the Hillsborough Stadium in the first leg of the Championship semi-final playoff tie.
Former Wednesday midfielder Palmer believes that Carlos Carvalhal’s side will win the match this evening.
The former Leeds United man has predicted Gary Hooper to score the winner for the home team.
Massive game for the #Owls this evening . I hundred per cent fancy the team . You supporters must make that magical atmosphere that you do— Carlton Palmer (@CarltonPalmer) May 13, 2016
#owls be there but I will be watching . Come on you blue and white boys— Carlton Palmer (@CarltonPalmer) May 13, 2016
Playing at home will give Wednesday an advantage, and the fans should be optimistic of a win.
Hooper is one of the best players at the Owls and has been in good form this season. The former Celtic forward has scored 13 goals and created 38 chances in 28 Championship matches for Wednesday.
The 28-year-old has a pass accuracy of 82% and a shot accuracy of 55%, and has won 20 headers, 20 dribbles and 10 tackles.
Wednesday should be happy if they win this evening’s match 1-0 or 2-1.
