Tim Sherwood has told Beinsports.com that he would be open to returning to Aston Villa as the manager.
The former Tottenham Hotspur boss was sacked as the Villa boss in October 2015. Remi Garde was appointed as Sherwood’s successor, but the Frenchman failed to lead the Villans to safety.
Sherwood has said that he would be open to taking charge of Villa in the Championship.
“Yeah, I will certainly consider it, yeah,” the Englishman told Beinsports.com when asked it he would consider a return to Villa.
Sherwood was appointed the Villa manager in February 2015, and he did manage to stave off relegation to the Championship at the end of the 2014-15 campaign.
Moreover, the former Blackburn Rovers and Tottenham Hotspur midfielder guided the Villans to the 2015 FA Cup final.
Things did not work out well in the initial months of this season for Sherwood, but it seems that he still has a soft spot in his heart for Villa.
