Stan Collymore says Roy Hodgson could help Barkley and Stones

The Everton duo have been in poor form this season.

Writing on social networking site Twitter, Stan Collymore has suggested Roy Hodgson could help improve Ross Barkley and John Stones.

The Everton duo have endured a tough campaign this season as their club form has taken a nose dive.

Stones has struggled for his best form and been heavily criticised for both his Blues displays, and those for England.

Barkley has similarly failed to shine, falling away despite a strong start to the season.

Both should still be in England’s squad for Euro 2016, and Collymore has hinted suggested that Hodgson could have the same effect on them as he had on Manchester United defender Chris Smalling.

Everton fans will likely be hoping that their star duo don’t manage to improve this summer to help them fend off interest in their services.

Stones was already courted by Chelsea last summer, and reports have already suggested that Manchester City are keen this time around.

Barkley meanwhile, has had no indication that a move may on the cards, but is likely to be growing disillusioned at the state the club currently find themselves in.
